Wishbox
The Nordstrom in-store team was looking for new experiences that would draw crowds and surprise and delight during the holiday shopping season. As the result of a facilitated co-creation session, they decided to continue investigating three potential ideas. Wishbox, a photo booth concept, needed immediate definition due to the longer lead times required for construction.

Designed rapid prototyping study based on initial sketches
Built a mock Wishbox with movable whiteboard walls, a chair, draping, and an iPad for camera functionality
Recruited 8 participants and executed design study
Determined physical tolerances and design insights based on participants’ actions and responses
OUTCOMES
Based on our report, our business stakeholders determined that they would rather go a different way. Our rapid prototyping had saved months of work and thousands of dollars.
